I’m aligned on 1:6, though if the group’s mixed experience I push 1:5 in the high-wind passes.

My evac template is bilingual (ES/EN) with pre-written inReach texts that auto-drop UTM/lat/long, mapped bailouts to roadheads/refugios, and a simple “wind is the boss” trigger tied to spot forecasts on https://www.windy.com/. I usually run 1:6, but on exposed ridges with sustained 60+ km/h I tighten to 1:5 for spacing and comms.
